Trash out of containers will get a ticket in Porto
Placing trash outside the containers and oils in waste water, scratching buildings or not collecting animal waste are some of the infractions that will give tickets in Porto.
According to the Official Journal , the "* Regulations for the Inspection of Services for the Management of Urban Waste and Cleaning of Public Space in the Municipality of Porto", of the Municipal Environment Company, comes into force in one month and sets tickets between 75 and 5 thousand euros, considering "serious or very serious" the "attempt" of misconduct, defined as an act that someone "decided to commit without having reached the point of consummation."
The regulation establishes that it is "punishable" not to "use the equipment that is made available or indicated" by EM Environment for the "disposal of Urban Waste".
Likewise subject to fines is the scanning of "solid or liquid waste for the street", "not complying with the time of deposition and collection of waste" or change the location of containers.
The same applies to the "discharge and abandonment of old-fashioned household objects" or "green waste in containers destined for urban waste, on roads or in other public spaces".
